Regular Museum hours for public tours are
Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, 1
- 4 PM

Docent-led tours give visitors an opportunity to experience Camulos.  You wil see the main adobe built in 1853, the chapel, the winery, the schoolhouse and our beautiful grounds.  Learn about the early Californio days of the del Valle family and the present-day owners of the 1800 acre ranch, the Rubels.  Hear about Helen Hunt Jackson and her novel Ramona that made Camulos the "Home of Ramona" and changed California forever.  Rancho Camulos is the only Mexican land grant rancho in California that is open to the public and still preserved in its original rural environment.  The site contains 15 historic structures and is Ventura County's only National Historic Landmark.

Bring the whole family!  Plan on spending at least an hour touring Rancho Camulos.

Suggested donation for a docent guided tour: $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for children.

The museum is closed for public tours during December and January and during inclement weather (rain, high winds, etc.)
At the present time, we are not wheelchair accessible.

Group and School Tours are accommodated year around by appointment
