Helen Hunt Jackson Returns to Rancho Camulos

(Event Rescheduled Due to Rain – New Date is Sunday, Feb. 28)

On Sunday, February 28, at 1:00 PM, experience author Helen Hunt Jackson’s 1882 visit to Rancho Camulos, which inspired her to use Rancho Camulos as one of the settings for her bestselling novel Ramona. Re-enactors will portray Mrs. Jackson’s visit to Camulos, which forever changed the peaceful life at the rancho and sparked a major tourist boom in Southern California.

Immediately following the re-enactment, author Patricia Clark Doerner will present “A Woman with a Mission – Ramona a Heroine for a Gilded Age.”
