“Ramona” Screening & Movie Location Tour

Ramona screening

Visit Rancho Camulos Museum on Sunday, February 16, 2020, for a special screening of D.W. Griffith’s “Ramona” and a tour of the property — now a National Historic Landmark — where it was filmed.

Is the final event of the inaugural, 3-day NEWHALLYWOOD SILENT FILM FESTIVAL, February 14-16, celebrating the Santa Clarita Valley’s history as Hollywood’s back lot with screenings of more than a dozen silent films at multiple locations.

Filmed April 1 and 2, 1910, D.W. Griffith’s adaptation of Helen Hunt Jackson’s novel, “Ramona,” is the earliest film known to have been made in the Santa Clara River Valley.
